Characters: Germania

The cloth is rough, and immediately Germania dislikes it. Carefully though, as quiet as he can, he wraps it just like he's seen Rome do. Hesitantly, but the red cloth soon accompanies the long, white fabric.
He pauses to stare at himself in the long looking glass - hung peculiarly on the wall, the largest sheet he's ever seen, glittering with the reflections of torches and finery behind him - and smiles, just a little.
He supposes he looks fine in it.
Germania unwraps it and folds it as it was before he put it on, stashes it away, and retreats into his own garb. He couldn't let Rome know he'd been wearing his clothes.
Couldn't let him know he wants this civilized culture instead of a barbarian's.
Couldn't.
