Title: People in glass houses should not throw stones.
Characters: Spain, England
Rating: G

For 50scenes' Glass. The sayer of the quote featured is one George Herbert in 1651. This saying was actually first used by Geoffery Chaucer surprise surprise, like a lot of other sayings.

“A wonderful man once told me a quote.”

“Oh? What was it – ‘Steal not from the poor, but the rich, they who are so well-seated in their thrones’?”

“No, but that’s still a good one. He once told me ‘Whose house is made of glass, must not throw stones at another’.”

“And what does that mean, chucho?”

“That means, darling, those who are vulnerable should not attack others.”

Spain grits his teeth and pulls at the ropes around his wrists, feeling them cut into his skin and become tighter.

“You were always good at knots.”

England scoffs and sheathes his dagger, forcing down a smile against the ungracious praise. He grasps Spain’s chin and pulls it up to force their gazes to catch and lock.

“You’re just bad at getting out of the spider’s web, fly.”
