Title: fishing
Characters: Spada Belforma, Luca Milda

105/365. dumbshit high school au.
they go fishing one afternoon, with the weather warming up and the grass beginning to green again. luca doesn’t know how to fish, but it isn’t hard to get a hold of (with spada behind him, guiding him and helping him shoot for the easy spots, the ones with plenty of little fish and showing him how to reel one in without breaking the line) and he’s settled on the ground, rod limp in his hands. he watches the still water, along with his float bobbing up and down, and sighs. spada’s luck isn’t any better; he’s snoozing against a tree, his pole held between his thighs, and luca watches as it gets ripped from its resting place and into the water. spada wakes at the movement and yells, scrambles after it and pulls back, catching the reel and taking in the line. he’s almost got the fish - it’s big and pretty, with brownish scales (a trout, maybe) - when it snaps and the monster goes free, along with his lure. spada groans and gets another, and luca laughs until his own line goes taut.
he has better luck with the fish - it isn’t the same big one, but it’s the same kind, and spada grins at him when he sees it flopping in the mud. they let it go, in the end; it isn’t big enough to make a menuire out of, so there’s no use in keeping it. they head home once the light begins to dwindle and fireflies coast along the water’s edge, and luca decides that being outside for a change isn’t so bad.
