Title: q is for quiet
Characters: Spada Belforma
Rating: PG

83/365.

His son is remarkably quiet, coming from a loud house; he’s a lot like Luca, and if he hadn’t fucked his wife himself he might’ve thought she’d been cheating on him (or that somehow, someway, all those nights of drinking with Luca had finally gotten him pregnant). His son is quiet and listens, but when Spada tries to teach him the pillars (what his house is built on, his whole life is set on keeping to) he’s outspoken, saying they’re stupid. He’s seven years old when it first happens, and Spada passes it off as childish disinterest (except his daughter had been set on sticking to them, adoring them, at that age), but he can’t pass it off as the years go by and his son keeps his opinions just the same. Spada’s not used to having favorites (although Luca’s probably his favorite boy and Ange is still his favorite girl, hubba hubba —) but his daughter’s definitely higher in his eyes and it makes him sick, makes him feel like a hypocrite but it’s hard to not have a favorite out of your children when one upholds everything you’ve ever stood for and the other one crushes it under his heel.
