Title: p is for princess
Characters: Spada Belforma
Rating: G
82/365.
Spada calls his daughter his little princess, his little slice of heaven; she giggles and spins and retorts she isn’t a princess, she’s a knight, and she’s a bat out of hell so he better watch out. It makes him laugh and move his swords (wooden now, to match hers) to block the obvious incoming attacks she throws. Even at nine, she’s remarkably skilled, fleetfooted if messy in her swordsmanship due to just starting her training. He trains her as if she were any son of his (and the son he would’ve trained is another grave he visits with her and talks to, lays flowers by and wonders if there’s rebirth for humans like there was for gods or if that cycle’s been broken, too) and she doesn’t mind it, although her mother often sighs as she cleans the mud off their floor that she wishes their daughter would behave a little more like a lady. She says it with a smile, though, so Spada knows it’s no real complaint; she’s just as proud of their daughter as he is, and not for the first time he’s glad he married her.
