It’s a hard word to define and an even harder word to say, but it comes past Luca’s lips as easy as any of his corny, boyscout lines (sober and drunk — in the morning with a hangover or at night in the middle of a few beers, or curled against his side with his fingers counting and running along ribs) and Spada wonders how it’s so easy for a wimpy guy like him to say it but it’s hard for someone like him to say.
