It isn’t perfect, but it’s something. Luca sighs as he leans back against his chair at the Bakery, a book balanced on its end between his fingers and the table. He watches the clear, wide blue sky. It feels like the same one that stretches over Regnum, but it’s a clever ruse and Luca feels his heart sink. He can pretend Luceti is a fine place, without any problems (and he has no problem being happy, busying himself with all it has to offer and making friends he’d never meet in a million years in his world) but every so often, the thought that they’re still at the mercy of someone else (that it’s only a little better than the laboratories Regnum created to hold Avatars) slips in and ruins it.
