She's ugly when she's angry, he decides. The emotion mars her face like a terrifying scar, all tight and drawn together, but telling her so doesn't seem to help the explosive situation any. Instead, Cheria gets redder (angrier) and turns on her heel; evidently, she's through with this (and him), and all Asbel can do is watch and rub the back of his head, confused as to why she was mad in the first place.
Hadn't she asked for critique on her cooking skills, after all?
