An uproar of laughter starts as soon as Luca puts on the floppy witch's hat and turns to his friends, awkwardly thumbing the rim of it and feeling embarrassment wash over him. Even Kongwai snickers a little, and that makes him feel doubly as awful; in the short time he had known him, he hadn't really expected him to be that kind of guy. Spada and Iria – he could understand them laughing. They were mean. But Kongwai had seemed so nice –

“You look ridiculous in that, Luca!” Iria manages to get out between gasping breaths and Spada nods in agreement, holding his sides and wheezing. He feels stupidly warm and his fingers grip the edge of the hat, tossing it onto the ground.

“Y-You guys bought it and told me to wear it!”

Now it's Iria's turn to hold her sides as Spada tries to talk between breaths. “W-We didn't think you'd actually do it, man!”

“I think it fits you, Luca.” His kinder words don't make up for the fact that he's still snickering behind his hand, and Luca gives them all a withering look before picking up the hat and sighing, turning it over in his hands.

“...It isn't so bad, I guess.”
