Title: right
Characters: Luca Milda
Rating: G
29/365. Spoilers for Sky Castle.
Stepping into Iria's house in Sania is like a breath of fresh air; Luca surveys his lounging companions wearily, with Iria pushing behind him to get him to hurry up and settle himself, and manages a smile at them all. He's happy to see they all got out all right (he feels an ache in his bones and hopes there's no scars – he doesn't think he could bear to see anyone feel bad over another of those) and even though he doesn't want to rest a moment after they decide to get to the Tower of Dawn, he at least takes a breath and leans against the table before they head out. It hurts, it really dose – every part of him aches, but it can't be anything close to how Chien feels (he checks up on the boy too, makes sure his injuries are taken care of, thanks him for saving his life and smiles when he gets embarrassed) and it keeps him from complaining or moving too slow.
At least he knows he's alive as long as he's awake; he knows things are okay as long as there's pain, and it keeps him from sleeping. It's never enough to make him pass out, just enough of a throb to keep him moving and to remind him what's really important.
(Seeing Naraka return to its natural state at the end – to hear Spada say it's the world he created, to be able to right the wrongs of his past – it's startling, breathtaking, and he takes a shaky breath, like the first one after years in a coma.)
