"Why do you cover your neck?"

Eco looks up from eating, skewer halfway in his mouth, He takes a chunk of meat off, chews, and answers after swallowing,

"It turns people on! I don't want to accidentally do that, so I cover my neck up."

Belca stares at him; minutes tick by before he shakes his head and looks at the skewers in his hands.

"You know that only applies to girls, right?"

"Why?"

Belca glances up; Eco smiles and fingers the ribbon on his throat.

"Can't it apply to guys too?"

"Maybe for someone like you."

Eco pouts, and Belca tries not to become irritated.

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"Nothing. Eat up, weird guy."

The bard frowns at him and goes back to eating, albeit sulkily. Belca massages his temples and decides not to think on this moment for too long.
