#01 – Love
He couldn't afford to love her; time waits for no man, and he has so little of it.

#02 – Lust
Arietta desires to stay by his side for all of time, and he can't find a way to say that she can't.

#03 – Passion
It never fails to surprise him how easy it is for Arietta to slip into the fray, all for the sake of protecting him.

#04 – Rage
Nothing stands in his way when Arietta is hurt.

#05 – Depression
He looks at his reflection in the floor and sees a skeleton, and Ion realizes how alone he's become without her by his side.

#06 – Bond
There's a special thing between a Fon Master and his Guardian; it's present from the day he chooses her, to the day he dies, and it's unmistakeably, achingly there for the both of them.

#07 – Loss
It's like losing an arm when she's not permitted to visit him anymore.

#08 – Horny
Ion doesn't know the name of the hot feeling he gets when he sees Arietta in the bath (the one that feels like fire in his veins and heat across his skin, the one that makes his hands grow cold and shake and slip under his robes in an effort to cool down the rest of him) and frankly, he can't bring himself to care.

#09 – Blah
Ion's only entertainment in Daath came from his Fon Guardian: Arietta.

#10 – Pensive
There's nothing quite like waking up to see Arietta delicately folding paper cranes in the middle of the night, pressing a kiss to every one and whispering a wish onto its fragile wings to put Ion in a mood for actually thinking about how his illness affects her.

#11 – Confident
“You won't fail me,” he replies, and Arietta feels the world spin.

#12 – Unsure
She stands beside him her first day as his Guardian, shaking and as staying close to him as she can; not even his reassuring smile could pull her out of it.

#13 – Stress
Ion's thankful that Arietta's never had the medical training to tell when someone's lying.

#14 – Calm
“Calm down,” he whispers, and she snarls until he runs his fingers through her hair, catching the knots and brushing them away.

#15 - Content
Nothing is sweeter than watching the last full moon of the year, without Scores to read or the pressure of protection upon them.

#16 – Excited
“Look, Master Ion, look at the colors,” Arietta whispers, and it makes his lips curve into half a smile as the fireworks explode over Daath and the girl who was raised by monsters giggles at the sight of them.

#17 – Happy
'Cute,' he thinks as he remembers the day she became his Guardian, and it's the one thing that makes him smile weakly at the skull on the window beside him.

#18 – Hot
It's hot, scorching hot, and he's shaken awake from his dreams of a fiery Zaleho by Arietta, and he's thankful she's by his side, at least for the moment.

#19 – Cold
She's cold, so cold, and Ion wraps her in his robe and only smiles when she protests and tries to give it back, for his health's sake.

#20 – Anticipation
Arietta's heart is bursting at the seams when Ion leans close and brushes his lips against hers.
