Title: she wears short shorts

“Aren't you cold?”
Hilda looks up from tying her shoelace to Cheren, who regards her short shorts with distaste. She rolls her eyes; he had never liked them, even if they showed off – in his words, mind – the only good thing about her, physically speaking. And true, she was a little cold. They were in the ever-wet Icirrus City, in the middle of a particularly chilly fall.
He pushes his glasses up, evidently waiting for her answer, and Hilda takes her time standing up and stretching before she answers.
“No, not really. I'm getting seriously soaked though, so can we hurry up and get where we're going?”
“You're the one who had me wait on you while you tied your shoe.”
Hilda sticks her tongue at Cheren as soon as he turns his back. And people wondered why they didn't date.
