He doesn't find a name for the eerie circumstance he was brought back to life by until he's perusing some of Kate's books. They're old translations of even older poets, and he happens upon the phrase god from the machine. It sounds like his case - what's more convenient than the Second Apostle bringing back the dead to be a pawn in her plan to restore Terra, mere moments after he had died under a pile of his own gang? - and he almost chuckles when the writer calls it bad storytelling.

Well. His story was, by no means, good -- so perhaps it fit better than expected.
