Title: green glops and gloops
Characters: F. Mage, M. Mage
Rating: G
149/365.
They’re trooping through the Dendroid Hub, lashing fire and friends out on the trees and saplings. There are fugitives of the cult they’d been investigating around too, getting attacked by the — zombies, he wants to call them, but even that’d be too nice. Pests, maybe. They go down as easy as them, falling to a swift wave of his hand and a simple incantation, while others still find themselves at the mercy of Sister Louise - and what little mercy she has, despite her name. He steps his way through the massive green puddle of blood left by the creatures, feeling displeasure rile up in him when it pulls and tugs at his boots. He’s free of it soon enough, with a hard tug forward, and stands by the gate.
His companion is on the other side, looking for a way around it; she sidles against the wall, shrieking when she starts to tip forward into the stuff and hugs closer to the stone. The display makes him roll his eyes and he makes his way over, dipping to put an arm under her legs and one under her shoulder and returns to the gate, setting her down just as gently.
“I was almost there!” He should’ve known better than to think she’d actually let it slip. For all the weeks he’d known her, she still hadn’t gotten used to getting help. Or being close to attractive young men. And surely he was one; that Kiri chick always complimented him when he passed by. He straightens the edges of his crisp coat, keeping her complaints to background noise — until she pushes him through the gate and into the next room, harumphing as she does so.
