Title: third years

It's their last winter as high schoolers and - like they do every year - they visit the shrine. Even Masaki comes with them this time, her hand somewhat reluctantly in Chizuru's, whose enthusiasm hasn't faded with the passed year. They're busy - really busy - and there isn't much time to spare between studying for entrance exams and feeling their way through adulthood, but what little time can be is spent trying to preserve the traditions of last year. Kaname, Shun knows, wishes for a good year; Yuuta wishes for his brother to get good marks on his entrance exam, and Yuuki wishes for a large New Year's allowance. Chizuru's wish isn't something he's absolutely certain about, considering Masaki's standing beside him, eyes closed and hands clasped together (her wish is similar to Kaname's, ever the kind young girl he had seen last year), although he's sure it's for things to stay the way they've always been.
Shun's wish is that, too - it's impossible, because change will always come, but if they could just hold onto these moments (these little pockets of time they shouldn't be spending at the shrine but at home, getting ready for universities) and stay friends, then he'd happy.
