Title: o is for one

It’s not the only scar he has but it’s the one he looks at the most, tracing the straight, pale line from the bottom of his rib cage to the knob of his waist. He both admires it (so white, so smooth, so badass—) and feels sick at it. There are more of them - little ones, barely noticeable - but the one from Hasta is the only one he pays attention to, and while he doesn’t feel angry anymore (not like he had felt after he got it, no— that was his own fault, in the end, because he had doubted the strength of an Avatar, and he should’ve known better, with everyone doubting his own well of strength from Asura and him still winning against them) he still wonders if things would be different if he hadn’t gotten it.
(They probably wouldn’t, but it doesn’t hurt to wonder.)
