Title: pocketwatch
Characters: Sharla, Shulk

"Here, Sharla." The familiarly soft voice calls to her and she turns, spying Shulk heading up towards her. Sharla gives him a brief smile and he returns it - along with a pocketwatch. She gasps softly, running her fingers over the elaborate design, and Shulk smiles again, evidently excited. "Open it."
She does, and she grins when - by the light of the fire - the hands tick around the center. Shulk rubs the back of his neck as she closes it and presses it to her ear to listen to it, his smile on the verge of becoming a grin, and rubs the edge with her thumb.
"Thank you so very much, Shulk," she murmurs, and he nods, taking a seat beside her standing form. She does the same, playing with the watch, and laying her cheek on her shoulder. "But how?"
"I might've found a battery around Colony 6." He replies, and she feels him watching her as she follows the fire's light on the beautiful raised design. "I didn't think we'd need it for anything else, so I went ahead and fixed it for you. I'm glad I was able to."
"Me too." Sharla closes her eyes and sighs, letting the warmed metal of the pocketwatch lay against her thigh and the quiet talk of the rest of the party fill the silence.
